I’m quickly chucking together an unloved XJ750 to take to the Machine Show in Braidwood in 6 weeks.
I replaced the master cylinder with a spare I had floating around (same piston diameter) and am about to rebuild the calipers and replace brake lines. Is it worth doing the anti-dive stuff or should I just blank the brake line off?

Keep the ant-dive as this was how bike was set up , and handling can be effected . Really not much to them recommend pulling top off and cleaning out bleeder and ,make sure if you rebuild fork legs , that forks are serviced to proper fluid quantity . I rebuilt both of my forks in one day ,and have to say it made a huge difference in handling. I had a leaking fork seal so it was not something that I could ignore , I've done other forks before ,but the Seca forks are a breeze to do .

The anti-dive system was brilliant for the time. The only possible upgrade is to fit modern forks.
Blanking-off the system leaves you with an underdamped fork.

Having ridden a lot of Harleys I’m not that concerned about an under damped, crappy handling front......
Forks will get rebuilt at some stage but unsure if it’ll get done in time for Machine Show ride, or if I’ll run out of time.
I’ll pull the anti-dive valves off and have a look and clean them up and re-assemble it then

You can also swap out the 750 anti-dive forks for regular 750 Maxim forks. It's a simple direct swap.

I reckon it would be harder to find 750 Maxim forks in regional Victoria than to rebuild my anti-dive units.
My only concern with the anti-dive is that it’s something else to potentially fail on my brake circuit, but while I’m waiting for my caliper rebuild kits and new brake hoses to arrive I’ll inspect my forks and anti-dive valves.
