    anyone know where to order new crank and rod bearings for my 81 xj750 seca. looked everywhere and cant find them even from factory. also cannot figure out this forums parts catalog. help please

    does anyone know if the connecting rod cap bolts are reusable, or torque to yield? i cant find anywhere in my manual that says anything about it

    The service manual states that both the bolts and nuts should not be re-used. The nut face and the bolt threads should be lubricated with moly disulphide grease and the nuts should be finger-tightened. The nuts should then be tightened to their final torque setting in one continuous motion.....if the tightening is interrupted, then the nuts be slackened completely and the procedure re-started. The manual specifies 18.1 ft-lb. of torque.
