XJ700 Crash bars wanted

Looking for a set of crash bars/ engine guard for a 85 xj700 for a reasonable price don't have to be perfect as long as they serve their purpose. Not sure what years and models are compatible. Thanks..

 

I believe you need to stick with the ones for an 85 or 86 model XJ. Maybe someone else has tried other ones and knows for sure.

The last set I found was on Ebay, so you can search there. I did see a set the last time I searched CL, but their about an hour north of me:

Xj700n, not the X water cooled model ?
Almost all of the 650/750 ones will fit.
I have a large engine guard that would fit.

 

Yeah I saw in another thread someone said that the 700 were not interchangable with 650/750 but I don't know. I have never seen something like that the ones I was looking at were one mounting on either side of motor. I don't know how much you would want for it and how much shipping would be, as it's kinda of big.. just looking for something to protect the engine, in case it goes down, engine has already taken a beating from looks of it.

 

Yea they are big. I'll have a look at the Xj700n chassis I have here and see what fits and get back to you.
