Strange find from previous owner

    ... found some paper work hidden in an envelope inside of the tub of spare parts I got with my 650.

    It has a record of his valve clearances, jets etc.

    Anyways, I found that he had been running a different Spark plug on carb no.4 .

    I'll add a photo so you can see. All plugs were bp7's when I got the bike and have been replaced. However I'm just wondering why this was done?
    Also the main jet on carb no4 was substantially smaller at running a 110?? Any thoughts ? I'm just to embark on church of clean as I have read through it 3 times now and am getting all the bits together ready

    Could have been what he had ..the PO on mine had 2 NGK and one split fire plug and one champion ...so who knows. Also if I remember the 6 is a hotter plug so might be due to oil consumption ...but I could be wrong it could be a colder plug . :D:rolleyes:

    Perhaps the spark swap was an attempt to fix whatever running issues might have come up due to the different jet.
