I have stripped the screws on the front brake master cylinder. I’m to drill them and use an easy out. Where could I find new screws? Thanks for any advice.

Those aren't Philips head screws. They are JIS. While most old and uncared for master cylinders will be corroded, it is possible that they stripped if you used a philips head screwdriver.

If you don't need the screws today, I suggest you buy from Len @ xj4ever as XJ550H has suggested. He'll sell you what you need and ships extremely fast. You should get yourself the proper JIS screw drivers through him as well.

Thanks for the wisdom. A shout out to hogfiddles, I remember he told me about the JIS screw heads.

I stripped the lid screws on the master cylinder. I used a $8 manual impact driver (from Menards) with gentle taps, increasing in strength, and it broke the original screw loose. Replaced with a properly sized screw from ACE hardware, as described above.

FYI - the same manual impact tool successfully broke one very stripped screw on the ignition cover.

Do the cgutz method, I wouldn't expect any ezi-out joy apart from on a sheared (loose) bolt/screw.
Sorry to be negative :( but those things suck!

Mine from Menards basically the same. Most useful $8 I ever spent!

An impact driver can get fasteners out that just won't budge sometimes. Ezyouts work but you have to drill slightly undersize and deep enough to get a grip and tap not pound with a small hammer and twist slowly out . The best set I have are from Snap On and take a 1/2 inch socket and a 1/4 inch ratchet works most of the time. I also have a set of extractors from Craftsman that if there is some of the bolt sticking out also works with a ratchet. But then again I have lots of cool tools ...:D
