My front brake is squishy. Normal? My other modern bikes have always been very firm to hard.

The front brake works, but it won't lock up the wheel. ( I know I don't want that either) But I have to pull the lever almost all the way in to get any real stopping power.

I have bled that thing at least a million times. DOT 4. A buddy has a 73 Honda that has a similar feel to it. I just wonder if it's safe or if the line is shot.

Is that just how they were back in the day or do I just need to cough up the 100 bucks to replace it?

Mine is the same way, I think I'm going to try the SS brake lines... Do the seca's has dual front disks? I may end up swapping the forks so I can use a dual disk config off of something else if it's posible...

If you put on SS lines and flush and refill with new brake fluid they should be rock solid.

yeah, my front brake is the same way. I flushed them and same thing. I have not put on new lines as they work fine, it just feels a lil different.

I honestly don't know if mine are as good as they can be.

My other bikes have excellent front brakes, but then they were 2005 and later. Not sure if brakes made in 1982 will ever be near as good, and they pale in comparison.

I tried to beed mine today and I have the same thing... You really have to squeeze it to get it to stop you in a hurry. I'm gonna try SS ASAP and maybe go further with a dual disk project.
