Ladies and Gentlemen, I need some help.
I picked up this beauty a few months back in a bad way, 81' XJ650. Since I bought this bike (which is my first bike) I've cleaned her up and got it running good as new.

My question is what can I do with the back end of the bike? I want to convert the seat into a single seat which involves changing the rear fender, brake lights, indicators and the springs. I've looked around online and just can't find parts anywhere.

Has anyone else attempted this and if so where can I start looking?

    Thanks guys.

If you're up for some customization, I have my rear end mod here. http://www.xjbikes.com/forums/threads/xj650rj-seca-build.111444/page-2

Bought an eBay seat hoop to weld onto the frame and build a seat. I believe that there are some aftermarket seats which roughly line up. But I built my own.

Dimecitycycles.com I've bought a few things from there:
    - Front brake lines (stainless steal)
    - Front master cylinder
    - Rear integrated brake light / turn signals

Your bike looks good as is...so many bikes have fell under the dreaded saw z all . There are fewer bikes left in good condition and once you start hacking the value starts dropping. But it is your bike do as you please...

I have to agree. As much as I would like a solo seat, I'm not willing to hack mine up just to fit one.

Oh no no no. Those police seats are not comfortable. Well. Maybe. I’ve never tried the bike seats the police have.
