    I have also ran into the same problem. Have ordered a right side cover for my recently purchased 1982 Maxim 750 on ebay but cannot find a right side cover. Any suggestions. Thank you

    I am also looking for a right side cover for a 1981 XJ 650 for my newly purchased bike. It was setting in a garage for at least 10 years. Still trying to get sparky to travel to the plugs. Great compression and it seem all the lights and bells and whistles are working. I still need to read on checking out the CDI. Thanks for all the info on this site.

    check your glass fusses the clips fail , you should replace them with bladestyle fuse box or blade inline fuse holders.
