Been years on years. Met good people here .
Even went down to visit Rickomatic once.
Had 650 seca, maxim, and two 750 seca.

Just snagged this bad Larry 900 for $200...runs great... Has some cosmetic and inspection issues but, dude. $200. With a 1 day old battery AND a Haynes that's crisp like new.

Gonna have to get my feet wet in here again... Gauges don't function, need a tail lens and gonna have to look where to get shims again.

    Thank God for you guys!

I thought I've gotten some good deals before, but that is a great steal for sure.

That's a very nice bike for $200. I just got one like that with 17k on it. But I had to pay $1,800.

Is that a maxim? Sorry for my noobness. I'm only asking because you have disc brakes on the back instead of drum brakes like my 82' XJ750r SECA

900 Seca. The 84 XJ750RL had a frame mounted fairing.

I have the full clean title, bill of sale and picked it up from his garage. I'm not worried.

Yes all numbers line up. It's completely untouched other than tape on the tail light and broken off mirror.

Very nice bike. I have the 750RL and I wanted it because my buddy used to have an '83 XJ900RK he bought new in '86. That was a sweet bike. Mine should be ready to hit the road in the next week or so.

Non-currents filled the show rooms back then.
I bought a new 1982 Turbo in fall of 83.

I bought a 1991 DT200 in 92 and a 1992 WR200 in 94. I could have bought a TZR250 for the same price as that DT. I’d still own that one today if only. I was an idiot then and snubbed my nose at any street bike that small.

I bought an '83 550 brand new in 1985. Dealer had many 2-3 year old models on the showroom.

To the OP - nice find.

Haha it was still in the crate when he ought it in '86. Beautiful white XJ900RK that he dropped about 3 months later and had painted a gorgeous deep red with clear coat. Anyhow I loved it.
