I have a question. I had to remove my seat for some work on wires for lights and now of course the seat will not latch on the left side. I can of course get it to hold on the right when I lock it down however left side is so hard to see when I need it to latch. I need help with this can someone please respond so I can get it fixed.

Well nobody else can see what's going on!
You're the one with eyes on it - take your time, use some plasticine or something to tell you where it's landing, adjust, try again.
Sorry never had the issue your asking, but someone cut my seat off...
Oh, pics, if you want help, but I still maintain you're the best man for the job.

Can you post some pics of the seat underside and bike frame looking down? Something isn't jiving. There is a hook on the left that moves with the lever on the right.

maybe the PO pushed the lever hard enough to twist the far hook on the shaft a little. your going to have to look at the marks on the latches to see what's up

The good thing is nothing is missing. I've made some notes on your pics, you need to ensure that the "hooks" on the seat move with the lever on the seat. If so, then you are either not putting the seat on right or something is misaligned. @XJ550H mention of that cord is valid too, it might be getting in the way. To put the seat on:
    • Turn the key so the locking pin retracts into lock
    • Push the seat under the front tank mount firmly
    • Push the back of the seat down so the hooks go over and then latch onto the frame pins. It should be secure now but you may need to push the lever to get the hooks over the pins if the spring is no good or the mechanism is gummed up
    • Turn key back to center to lock and remove key
Stick your head under and look between the grab rail to see if the hooks are lined up with pins.
