Carbon removal won't lower the compression ratio enough to matter. Heck, leaving the carbon there won't matter much either. We're not running 2-stroke engines, or old flatheads, and modern gas does a great job of reducing carbon buildup.

some of this carbon build up is pretty heavy in my opinion....once my new valves come in and I get them lapped I'll fuss with the carbon more....I forgot how much I hate these lapping tools!

compression ratio is the volume of the cylinder at the bottom of the stroke vs volume at the top of the stroke. you'll see it written like 12:1 in a high compression engine, maybe 10:1 in a normal engine( then there's turbo engines that's another ball game). so CR is really a mathematical thing. But with a good tight engine at 120 PSI compression(not ratio)
and 10:1 CR it makes xyz horsepower. now lower the compression to 100PSI, keep the 10:1 you get less HP. or, keep the 100PSI and raise the CR and get some HP back.
this is why hotrod guys shave the heads, it changes that ratio, that buildup of carbon makes the combustion chamber smaller, raising the CR.
were only talking about 1/4 of a little pony power here, you'll never feel it. but it's easier to keep it than remove it and keep that little CR boost.
if you take it all out, like new, it will run smoother like CC'ing the head............don't ask :)

lapping tools, find a piece of plastic tube(fuel line) that fits on the valve stem tight. 2 inches long, put the other end in your cordless drill, spin away

Yeah I'd definitely like to get it running as smoothly as possible since weve already got it torn down this far...might as well make the most of it!!

I prefer to do it by hand so I can hear and feel what's going on... That and when you use a drill the is a tendency for the compound to squish out more than normal then you're pretty much just metal on metal....I have an idea on a better lapping tool but gotta figure out how to make it more compact.....

when pistons get carboned up it can increase compression. the carbon build up is like putting a taller piston in there, less space left in cylinder so higher compresion

Well those ingredients would likely do the trick nicely. Ah methanol, I remember the days of buying it by the 5gal can for racing karts. Learned a lot taking an 8hp single cylinder on pump gas, rejetting/timing for methanol, winging it no less than 7200rpm, slicks on dirt...oh, sorry. Tangent over. Glad you found a product that is working for you. Here's hoping you get those valves lapped and engine back together soon

Well the seca 650 is back together and running! Sort of.... Going down the road a little bit and it starts kicking and bucking like it's losing power then coming back repeatedly! So much so it almost threw me from the bike!(good thing I was only going 20mph) I've checked all of the wiring I know to check, all connections are securely connected, new clutch switch installed..... Not sure what it could be!! Can't get bike inspected until this is solved which also means no carb clinic!!
    Not sure what to try...

Grab a comfy chair and a beer (or three). Sit and look at the bike. Ponder. Mentally revisit your work, keeping in mind the things that have not been looked at. An avenue of progress will appear.

Also. I'm merging this with your existing thread.

Humor me. Under the fuel tank, just behind the big self-canceling turn signal relay, there is a small square relay with a blue dot on the connector (wires are red with white trace, black with white trace, and blue with yellow trace). Unplug it. Does the bucking stop?
