One more question, and I hope that it dosen't annoy you.
When you had the carbs apart did you remove the emulsion tubes (needle jets) and make sure all of the little holes in all of them were clear, and that the top hole was not ovaled out?

The only other thing that I can think of is a partially plugged gas cap vent that's slowing the fuel flow down.

Speaking of. Do you have an inline filter on the fuel line, and if so what type is it?

No way you're annoying man. I appreciate any help I can get. I cleaned all the little holes, and I didn't notice if any of the tops were ovaled out. Didn't think about it to be honest, but will check when I take em back out to change the throttle shaft seals. No in line fuel filter here, find em more of a pain than they're worth.

I'll check the vent tomorrow though. Might be something simple like that I've overlooked

A good inline filter will make cleaning carbs something that you will probably never need to do for 30 more years.

I asked to rule that out as a cause of a fuel restriction. Paper filters no bueno; sintered bronze magnifico.
