XJ650RJ TACH QUIT WORKING

    I have this beautiful Seca with only 9300 miles. Today I took it for a short ride and the Tach needle started jumping just a bit, then quit altogether. When I restored this bike I pulled the cable off and lubed the cable as a preventative maintenance. I disconnected the cable today and it seems to be spinning perfectly. Do I have any chance of fixing this tach? I would like to as the face looks brand new. This bike hasn't set outside much and the gauges look new. Oh and while I'm here, the trip reset knob has fallen off and I'm needing a replacement if anyone has a suggestion on either it will be appreciated.

    On the tach, the needle started to jump occasionally before it failed completely.

    The knob is the same as on the xs750, the cluster is the same as on the xv920r
