petcock replacement

    so i got some parts in the mail yesterday and the petcock i ordered is not the one i received. on my packing slip the first three digits are crossed out and someone wrote in new digits and the part i got looks nothing like my old one. i already sent them an email because i was pissed but does anyone know if this is what replacements look like? if it works ill keep it but it just doesnt look right. appreciate the help.

    It looks like it should work. Except for the position of vacuum tube it looks pretty close. It could be that the original part is no longer made but superseded by that part.

    Did you get a chance to try and install it yet?

    the main line sticks out to the side away from the bike a little bit so it is not as close as it looks in the picture. the guy at the dealer said it was a superceded part and it fit on the tank. had some issues after though. i think i have a fuel jam somewhere cause the bike started and ran for a few minutes and died and wouldnt restart. i gotta figure out why im not getting fuel flow.

    you can move the main outlet...use a vise with a rag around the petcock. I got a new one for my Maxim 400 and it was different than the original and it works fine...
