I'm looking to thin the herd, so I'm putting up my Turbo Seca for sale. It's been running really well, and only 15,800 miles. Asking $2500. I'm in Northern VA

Put it up for winter with and oil, filter, and final drive oil change, brake fluid change, checked and adjusted valves (one out of spec) and a full tank with Stabil. Some leaking around the oil filter/cooler lead to new o-rings on both sides so no leaks. Good Avon Roadrider tires that are 2 years old with probably 3-4000 miles on them.

This was a project that I put on the road in 2012 with only 6800 miles on it, so it hasn't been sitting. If it doesn't sell it'll be rolled out of the garage and ridden come spring.

Also have a bunch of spare parts, extra carbs, RR, TCI box, various relays, upper front plastics, stock seat, air shocks

It's worth the $2.5k your asking.

Someone is offering to trade a 1995 Honda ST1100 with 65k miles. What do you guys think? I always tried to bring out the sport touring side of the Turbo, but a proper one might be nice. It's definitely a lot heavier than the Turbo

I don’t know man. If yours is worth 2.5k I can say I bought my 98 Kawasaki concours 1000 with less miles for right at a grand. A few maintenance items were done and new tires and I’m still in it for under 1700$. I say sell it outright or keep her

    “If it’s worth $2.5k”
    That’s the question

Alright I’ll try that. Never listed on cycle trader before. Is it worth paying for?

CL coverage isn't that far. it seems to me people who get a CT are looking for more than a 600cc crotch rocket or a HD wanabe. maybe a turbo would ring their bell.
worth it, if you sell it, it is

Not! But thanks nonetheless. Truth is a lot of people outside this forum don't do all the the things done here to recommission their bikes to truly road worthy status. Many of our bikes won't win a beauty contest but they damn sure run like they could.

Hey Ribo, thanks for the interest. Look forward to showing it and having a beer.

Yeah the turbo is still for sale. I already thought I had too many bikes when I had a 2000 GSXR600 (that never made it to the track), 2006 Kanata 600, '92 GS500e, and a Hayley I have yet to finish.
Sold the gsxr and katana so I could but I high milage 2011 BMW K1300S with that money, and now I just want to put my couple thousand miles a year on that...

For some pics of the other bikes:

Reviving because it’s back up for sale. I’ve posted on Facebook so far. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/955656608210851/

Kept the battery on a tender and it starts right up. Took it around the block a couple miles and it all seems good. I was having some trouble with it running really rough maybe one or two cylinders intermittently, but now seems to run fine. Intermittent running that magically goes away after it sits...probably ignition coils.

If you’re in the Virginia area and are interested PM me. I’ve listed it for $2200 with the bags, or I can sell the bags separately.

I'd love to take it off your hands if the wife wouldn't disown me...

Interested in the luggage / rack though. I'll PM you if you want to give me a price?
    Thanks

$200 if you can pick it up. It's going to be bulky to ship. I need to un-mount it, but I can do that easily and provide all lights and brackets (I have stock and XJ600 Seca II turn signals ready to go).

Turbo and/or luggage is still available. Throw an offer in.

Talking with Len, I took the coils off, heated them with a heat gun and there were in spec the whole time. Same with the timing coils. Fuel levels checked out with the pump running. So unless it was bad gas, I don't know what could have caused the rough running before.

Well I think I finally figured out what was wrong. Looks like the fuel check valve was stuck. When I first started having problems, I assumed it was bad gas, and did a good carb clean, but I neglected to disassemble the check valve.

I know the oring that I got for it was round instead of conical, and it seems to have glued itself down over 2 years of not riding.
Slipped a half a q-tip in a dremmel tool with some carb cleaner and cleaned the seat up really good. The bike seemed to immediately fire up and run much better. Too dark to take it for a ride, but it would be really nice for this saga to be over.

It’s finally sold. Hopefully the new owner enjoys it and gets many more miles out of it!

New owner here: I definitely will enjoy it! And with the quality of work put into the bike I’m sure it’ll run well for a long time.

Thanks, appreciate it! I’m sure I’ll be hitting up the forums constantly for info. So far it’s been a blast to ride (especially once the turbo spools!) and everything has been working flawlessly.
