I have a really exceptional 82 Maxim that I am going to part with.... exceptional condition, 14k miles. You will not find one nicer. I also have a few bins of extra and NOS parts that go with it.

The pic is recent and accurate, and I have many more. It is registered, NYS inspected, and I rode it just yesterday. It will likley go on Clist or Cycle Trader soon.

    For this group I am asking $ IMG_0536.jpg 1200

PM me if interested....serious only please

Nice looking bike. I have only seen a couple of these in our area (I'm just north east of you), but that is certainly in the best shape. Good luck with your sale.

Yeah, they are becoming a rare bird in the northeast. Glad to see a few still around on this forum.

We'll see on the sale. It is late in the season so it is hard to predict how much traction it will get.

As far as I know, all xj 750s, whether Secas or maxims, have square headlights

Yes, all Xj750j’s have rectangular headlight and signals too by the way. The J model was imported to the US only in 1982. However, there are some xj750k models in the US, but they were initially imported to Canada in 1983 and I think 1984 and like my K, were later on brought into the US. The K has round turn signals like the xj650 Maxim as well as the same headlight...and same triple tree with XJ650 fork tubes. With the right parts and tools, an Xj750j can be converted to look like a K. My K was stripped down, so I used lots of XJ650 parts to restore it, including the headlight assembly with stay, signals, handlebars and gauges. Fenders, both front and rear, are interchangeable with XJ650. I think US xj750M Midnight Maxims all have round headlights/signals like the K but aside from the black paint, the fender w/ smaller tail light is like an xj650. 0A10887F-E4B2-413F-A609-027FC7A7359D.jpeg

That would probably be the one I would keep an eye out for.
