Nice, original '81 Seca 550. Solid runner, battery tender, period oil cooler. 19,0xx miles.

Tags are now renewed to April 2020.

Only modifications from stock are turn signals, rear rack and rear license plate mount, crash bars, and obviously the factory fairing has been removed (I don't have it).

I've owned it since 2010. It appears to always have been garaged and looked after.

Sale includes Slipstream windshield, rack with removable back rest, factory shop manual and Clymer repair and maintenance manual. I have the original sales receipts and miscellaneous records from the April 1982 sale.

Oregon title is clean and in my name. Bike is in Eugene.

I went through this as well. I had a hard time reading some of the sticker on my frame. The last part of the VIN is also stamped on the top of the transmission case. Most of the 17-digit VIN can be filled in. The tricky bit is the check digit which can be any letter or number (so 36 possible values). NYS requires the long VIN. Does your title have it? Also, I think someone here made a simple web site to help w/ the converstion. looking...

    Here it is. http://www.dissingermoto.com/

Guess you still need all the shorty VIN digits. What do you have for yours? I'm sure we could compare with what others have to fill in the blanks.

Dissingermoto formula was turned off because of errors. I don't know if it was fixed---

I have all the shorty VIN digits. Would like to be able to convert it to the 17-digit, but don't know if that's possible.

Well, the Dissingermoto tool gives the correct 17-digit VIN from the shorty, so I think I'll go with that. Thanks, everyone!
