    On this issue, it would seem sensible to have a working neutral light, with an inhibit on the clutch switch - my kawasaki is like this and I find it safe and convenient.
    Good thread by the way Glen - what paint did you use on the master cylinder?

    Luckily my only issues were chewed wires. I stripped the harness down and replaced any damaged wires entirely and used the factory joints as well.

    I used Duplicolor Engine Semi-gloss Black for the engine and master cylinder. Hopefully they last or I’ll have to do it again one day.

    The bike isn’t pristine but cleaned up. It shows a life of use and it’ll stay that way and be enjoyed. Thank you for the compliments. I’ll reformat the thread to be easier to follow and enjoy.
