Old cockpit set up vs new

Hiding the wiring inside the bars was by far the hardest part of it all..

Nice build its all clean. Love the handle bars controls. Are you mounting the choke at the handle bars or a short lever pull onto the frame and or motor?

The clear tube master cylinder is cool i looked at isr radial mc's that are built for that setup. The major complaint is the brake fluid gets dirty faster as there is less to mix as a tanked mc. Still like it and want to do it.

    Hey mate

Nope I just manually left the choke tab where the cable would normally mounts
Only needs 10secs worth of choke anyway so it’s easy at the mo
Yes I got the tube from ISR.
I plan on upgrading the whole front end at some point anyway.
Forks and brakes are horrible even after a rebuild.

I hear you on the front end. My master cylinder has too much tension and the air requirement for the xj650 forks drive me nuts. looking to replace it with a more modern system. Just cant justify the cost for the r6 fork upgrade. Also i dont want to do clip on handle bars.

Did you do the nissin mc mod with the isr tube or full isr radial mc?

I hear you on that one!
Price for a modern front end is very expensive.in my country it’s a bit outrageous.. but will keep searching.
I also don’t want clip ons

It is a early Yamaha R6/R1. MS
I also brought the calipers to but my model of work has that odd mounting set up so I can’t really make a adaptor for the calipers unless I make new and weld new lugs
