Yes, it's Bald Wonder! I'm still around, I've just become a lurker. No, I'm not selling my brown bobber XJ. That one is getting cryogenically frozen with me until science advances far enough to implant my brain into the bike.

I'm selling the project #2 bike. I haven't touched either bike in at least two years, and I'm tired of wiggling around it in the garage and I just want the space back. I'll mostly let the pictures do the talking, but feel free to ask any questions.

It does turn over, it has triple-digit compression numbers on all cylinders, and (when you connect a good battery to it) the starter cranks nice and strong. I have not checked the clearances.

I bought pipes for it, and it's whole minus a right side cover and a starter button - literally just the black, plastic, top-hat-circle thing. Spring, wires, et al are all there. I stole it to replace the one on my bike when the plastic cracked just before a ride.

It has no title, but it has an expired Vermont registration from 2016. Vermont doesn't do titles on bikes that old, so the registration and a bill of sale should be all you need to get a title issued in any state. All the engine, frame, etc serials match. Or just make it a parts bike. You animal.

I'm in Northeast Ohio. If you're near-ish and I like you enough, I might be able to arrange meeting you somewhere. Ideally you'd pick it up from me or pay for freight shipping (lol, dear god why would you do that and can I visit your burning money pile?).

$500 or best offer. (pictures coming)

Wow, that's got some really nice parts on it, though, too!

I truly think that this bike was well maintained while it was used, then someone either died or decided they'd had their fill and stored it in a humid garage. There's not a lot of "rust" in the usual places, but everywhere else there's a lot of condensation-induced oxidation (yes, I know that's a fancy word for rust). I think most of it might be fine powder and dust that settled on the bike and oxidized, rather than the bike itself rusting.

If you notice, the highway bar is bent, but it doesn't have road rash on it. I think something pressed into the bike while it was being stored. Like maybe a car parked too close and pinned it against the back wall.

Or, more likely, someone tried to move it by yanking heavy on one side of the bar

Oops. Just notice you said highway bar, not handlebar. That's what I get for reading too fast
