That's pretty neat. How big are the bikes when complete?

    Holy crap thats awesome!

What kind of paper are you using? A thick card stock, or just normal printer paper? Seems almost like it would be really flimsy if you just used normal printer paper.

I might have to try to tackle one of these this weekend...I mean how else am I going to study for my college final exams?

It takes more then a couple of hours. I made the R1, 2 years ago, it probably took 40-50 hours I would guess. I just starter the YZ450, 2 hours in I am on step 2.

I've been working on the '04 YZR-M1 (red with accessories) today, and working with wood glue, its been taking a long time. I've got the front fairing done and halfway through the lower cowling. Its taken me about 3-4 hours already.

However, I switched to super glue part way through the lower cowling, and it works a little bit better since I don't have to hold the parts together for a long time for it to start sticking.

    A recommendation on glue:

You can find it at most craft stores. Also, look into scrapbooking adhesives, tapes, and tools. My wife scrapbooks and was telling me about several products that may be helpful in cutting and assembly.

I use plain Elmer's white glue. Just put a few drops on a spare piece of paper and apply with a toothpick or wire tie. You don't need much glue so it drys very fast.

That is stunning! I wish I had the time to try this, and the patience to finish it...instead of tearing it apart around hour 5...

I binned mine...twice  ...and I think the kids gave up too  I have not started another one yet as it's the season and I've been busy shopping for Christmas presents and stuff not to mention I've been sourcing out ways and means to get things done on the real bike project too.

    Cheers and seasons greetings 8)
