Any tips on making my 82 750 Seca display more readable at night??

I just can't seem to read the thing or find the needles easily. For reference I wear reading glasses but not at other times...

    Thx

New bulbs will help (LED bulbs are available, but you might find them too bright).
Look carefully at the glass. Sometimes the gasket fails and dust gets inside, partially obscuring the instruments. It can be disassembled for cleaning, but it's a bit tricky to get all of the inside of the glass clean.

I'll take a pic.... further info is; it's that the dull needles blend against the dull background.

It just looks like a dull tan / orange blob like it's all back-light. Nothing showing on the needles themselves. Maybe I have a bulb that's out... but it is all evenly lit. Just can't pick the needles out...

Oh, and during the day it is very clear and the glass looks fine... but I'll take a peek just in case.

Okay maybe the issue is mostly my eyes

so this is in my garage with my hand over the neutral and warning light

And with my reading glasses on it's pretty clear

So maybe I should get some bifocals for at night or maybe I will paint the needles just to make them stand out a bit more

Just seems like especially around around 55 -60 miles an hour with the odometer lit behind the needle you just can't see it

Might be time for progressive lenses.
I've had a set for about ten years, and it's been a wonderful improvement to my vision.

Which reminds me. I'm six months overdue for a vision check. I better make that call.
