81' XJ650RJ no kickstand switch or relay?

    G'day again from down under, doing a tonne of electrical work and one of the things one my list was to clean and diagnose a problem with the sidestand cutoff relay, but to my surprise I couldn't find one at all nor could I find a sidestand switch/plunger? Following Chacals great post on relays I tried to locate either but nothing.

    Is it possible that my model just didn't have one or is it more likely that it was removed by the previous owner?

    The kickstand switch was not used worldwide, and IIRC not at all before '82 on the 650.

    Cheers guys, thank god for that really. Couldn't imagine trying to find a whole switch, wiring and relay for it just for registration.

    Australian models didn't have them . A few other differences , oil cooler amongst them
