Hey guys I've just done the last step of the por15 sealer kit on my seca 900 tank , my question is about draining the excess out , the petcock hole is not the lowest part and I cant drain all the excess out , if por15 puddles will it still set solid or will it cause problems ?

    Thanks in advance

have used this twice on tanks and it sets as hard as iron.once you have opened the tin and put lid on to save some if any left it sets solid.

you could set tank so excess ends up forward of the gas cap. that space is just filled with air due to the design of the filler neck.
or justt keep rolling the tank to sperad it out

Cheers guys all is well, I kept rolling for a bit longer then managed to slosh the rest out by tilting back and forward over the petcock hole , out side primed , base coated and cleared now , just cut and buff and tank is done (hopefully :/ if not done a result sand with 800 and really clear) IMG_20181111_130319.jpg IMG_20181105_233534.jpg IMG_20181111_161752.jpg IMG_20181108_095922.jpg IMG_20181111_175034.jpg

Hi. What are you painting this with? Anything. well almost anything, from an aerosol will go to rat-sh!t the moment it gets a splash of fuel on it. You can apparently get some 2k clear lacquer that 'mixes in the can' which will be fuel proof but I've not tried it myself.

I'm using simoniz primer, base and clear , the clear apperently is fuel resistant but I guess we'll see lol

Ok - I'll be interested in the outcome. Petrol resistance is always an issue for the home sprayer I've found..:(
