Hi i just want share my single guage vacuum synchronizer job.. at first i was not so sure it would be any good but i had to try..

So after a complete carb cleaning (boiling, change all shaft seals, o rings, new diaphrams, new air cleaner etc.) Im 101% sure all is fine including checking all valve clearance i then decided to try my new experiment .. with 99% good enough results (4me).. after synch of all 4 carbs

    1. Idling is like rock solid steady!
    2. No more hunting idle when hot..
    3. No more touching and adjusting idle control knob just to lower or higher so as not to stall the engine during very hot trapik..
    4. Mileage is good. Still have not travel very far yet.. only short 1 to 2 hour trips..
    5. My sweety roars even with no or very little choke when cold.. my spark plugs still needz minor adjustments but almost acceptable.. 3 brown 1 slightly rich ( i dont have original color tune plug ) i only used my DIY colortune

    6. She pulls even harder now specially from 3rd gear up.. gives me huge smile everytime i encounter newer, younger bikes... hundreds of honda CB's and kawasaki's here in our place almost all have the same "disturb" face look after getting ass kick by what they think is an old grandpas harley look alike bike.

Pics below. again thank you very much to all of you guys and girlz.. i learn alot from this site.

    (how do i post video?)

I've done it before, it works but you have to keep "comparing" to others as you go. Your valve idea is slick, when I did it I was just swapping the hose around.

Good to hear she is running well and you're enjoying it!

Tnxs.. i used an aquarium air separator for the valves on and off switch.. yes i did have to spend more time adjusting compared to a 4dial gauge.. :)

I'm impressed , using valves to switch between carbs is a good idea.

Did the needle bounce around or stay steady?

PRO : zero chance of "miss calibrated" guages.. some cheap 4 face guages have different readings..

CON : takes a little more time to finish setting idle.

Steady because of the green valve near the meter.. just like the brass valves use in original guages.. only difference is mine is plastic from aquarium supplies

Here my DIY colortune posted this a few weeks ago on how i made it sort off..
I used it 3 consecutive times with no problems.. the 4th time i needed to add clear epoxy at the firing end.. it was starting to crumble..

This is my very complicated and extremely expensive SHIM REMOVING TOOL (S.R.T.)

Made of 8 inches long electrical house wire.. i forgot the actual size...
I also inserted a heat shrink rap at both ends just to be sure i dont scratch my very presious intake and exhaust VALVES.. when doing the shims...
