So I've decided to just go and chop up my XJ750 and go the Cafe route.

I try my best to film most of the stuff that I do so if you like take a view at the videos.

The bike is further along than the videos show. But there is still a heap of work to be done.

    Interested.
    Interesting.
    Your getting there.
For a little insurance against stuffing your carbs or fuel filter with rust from the tank (there will be some) and possible seam leaks, line the tank with Caswell two part tank liner. It's honestly the best tank liner in the world. You'll find it on the US eBay.
It would suck to get tank painted up then find there might be issues down the road.
    I speak from experience....

I planned to line the tank as soon as I got it and seen the insides.

The bike is very slowly getting there, I have made a seat base now and am just getting that into the final shape.

My plan is to get this bike finished (if they ever are) by the end of the year.

    Hi,
I like the looks of the master cylinder you're using. Caught a glimpse in a video but couldn't find any other posts where you talk about the part - apologies if it's listed somewhere else - can you let me know what are the make and model?

Also - while on the topic - how did you handle the anti-dive system?

    Thanks
    Alex
