Good afternoon fellow XJ enthusiast.

I regularly do a search for a handful of motorcycle models in my area and the following XJ900 showed up;

Interesting item about this bike.....I think it may be one that I previously owned (way back in the 80's). The miles, condition, add-on items, location all lead me to believe this was previously mine. Although I am very curious and interested....my current project load does not allow me to take this one under my care. However, if there is someone who is interested, I would be glad to help anyway I can.

Here's a very nice super low mile bike, 480, that the owner claims is the second bike off the assembly line. Unfortunately, he doesn't include images of the coveted number two serial number stamp. For the low miles and claimed production number the price is on point at $3000. This bike would sell fast and easy on eBay with better pics and proof of that production number.......

 

Hmm, does it have mirrors? I wonder if this was the one somebody posted a while back with the wrong front rim.

I checked out the listing.. also missing right side cover.

I didn't look at all the pictures, obviously.
Those right covers are really hard to come by.
Knock $500 off the asking price.

Actually, with only 480 miles on the bike, it shouldn't need restoration.
Technically its not even broken in with the claimed miles on the bike.
How the hell would you loose a new side cover within the first 480 miles?
Where are the damn mirrors?
Really puzzled now, I over thought this one.

You know it came w/ the cowling in that year as well! How the heck does it loose that in 480 miles?
