I am told there is a very reliable and solid parts dealer on here.
    Here's the list:
    4 intake boots
    Crank case gasket
    4 carburetor gaskets
    1 petcock rebuild kit
    1 air filter

Thanks a bunch. I will keep an eye out for a response.

    Oops,

    Also need:
Gear shift crank case oil seal....(not sure that's what to call it) the seal around the arm that holds the shifter.

    Thanks !

Hey Chris, see that button up at the top right corner? It's a link to XJ4EVER. That's the "reliable and solid" parts dealer you've heard of. Or you could start a conversation with user @chacal . He's the guy at XJ4EVER. He'll set you straight on what you need and what it is called.

Click on his name and then the "start a conversation" option to send him a private message.

He responds to PM but may take him a few hours to see it and respond. Email is another option Info@xj4ever.com. If you do the catalog research first and get the part numbers together he will respond a bit faster on quoting.

Xj4ever is the best source hands down ,yes some items are pricey , but also realize that there is a dwindling supply of new parts . I restored a 71 VW beetle still can get most parts , been to plenty of car shows and swap meets seen junk throw away parts for sale with high prices , when new can be bought for slightly more money. Best moto buy the best cry once....be aware alot of item on eBay may seem like a deal but may or may not fit on the other hand chacal sells OEM or pattern parts and these will fit!!!!

There are so many "versions" of each model, that only Xj4ever can be depended on to get you the right part, at a fair price, and fast service.

I tried the ebay thing for rear brake shoes...supposed to fit...didn't....didn't save any money....
