Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket throttle tube/grip that will accept a bar end mirror insert? I don’t want to cut my stock one.

I have an XJ550 and I’m looking to do the same.

When you say trim, in what way? Is the throttle tube longer than standard grips?
Do you just cut away some of the end?

on the end there are ridges in the throttle tube that hold the grip in place must be cut down to put after market grip on tube

you can just cut a hole in the end of the grip for mirror

are you sure the tube is closed on the end? might be just the grip that needs cut. to cut the end hole out just put the grip on the tube as normal, slide it on, leave it loose and tap the end of the bar lightly with a hammer and let the bar cut it's own hole in the tube and grip
