Hi guys, I hope there isn't a "ask too many questions" limit lol

    working on a 82 maxim xj1100
ok here's my question... with the carbs on the workbench and bowl removed on the #2 carb the float does not move freely (doesn't bounce up and down) however the float on the #1 is nice and free. I have never worked on a bike carb before and am totally clueless. What steps do I take to free up the float?
Is there a video of this process on youtube... I searched but nobody had a video on unsticking a float.

The reason I took it apart is the guy I bought the bike from said he rebuilt the carbs but he told me the #2 float was sticking and I could only hear it running for about 30 seconds.

Any help would be appreciated and TIA
    John
P.S. anybody wanna buy a windjammer faring cheap?

I actually figured it out all by my little lonesome lol. The pin the holds the float..the one that slides thru the float had for some reason was not letting the float move freely. First I tried to sand the pin down with 600 sand paper but it kept getting stuck in the middle of the hole the pin slides thru so I got a small enough drill bit and drilled it out some. and voila the float was no longer stuck it moved freely as it should. Next I am going to install a 650 petcock on the tank on each side of course and eliminate the double barrel petcock. The guy I bought it from was going to do it but never got around to it. Then put the new tire on the front and hopefully chacal gets a hold of me and I can order the caliper rebuild kit.
