So I'm working on my current project and I realized earlier today I have these wires attached to nothing, does anyone know what these wires go to? 20190510_134219.jpg 20190510_134147.jpg

That's exactly right on the colors, it's not attached to anything and it just kinda dangles, so I wasnt sure what it was for, if that's all it is I may just disconnect it at the plug assuming it wont make the bike not start

you have to remove the sidestand relay or twist the correct wires together or bike will not start.
remove the sidestand relay is the easy thing

    Sidestand (kickstand) switch:
    - twist the two (or three, depending on the model) wires together and ground them. Grounding the wires is the only way to complete the circuit that activates the sidestand switch relay.

    Sidestand (kickstand) relay:
    - unplug the safety relay which disables the whole bloody mess but DO NOT leave it that way, fix it right!

Im assuming that's why the wires are twisted together on the end since it does currently start, where is the side stand relay located and would I just remove it and put in a small length of wire to bridge the gap? Sorry electrical has never been my strong suite lol

when you pull sidestand relay it bypasses the side stand switch so you would be able to disconnect the wires at the plug.

    this is a nice link
The Ultimate Relay, Switch, Sensor, and Diodes Guide

location- on all 1981-83 XJ750 Seca models: onto a welded bracket outbound of the left outer frame tube, just behind the left coil.

    Identification:
    - small metal (original) or plastic (replacement) "cube" relay, inked 4U8-00, 4U8-01, or 4U8-02 on the top face.
    - has a blue paint mark or blue locking tab shroud on the bottom of it

if the twisted wires are not hooked to a ground your SS relay may have been removed

It looks as though it's already been disconnected if this is where it's supposed to be 20190510_204226.jpg

that's the described location there should be a connector flopping around there someplace.
so someone removed the relay and left the rubber holder in place that calls for a wtf

should be a 4 position connector with this for wires
    Harness connector wire colors:
    - on all XJ550, all 1982-84 XJ650, XJ700, XJ750 models, all XJ900, and XJ1100 models:
    * Red wire with white tracer stripe
    * Black wire with white tracer stripe
    * Blue wire with yellow tracer stripe
    * solid Black wire

I think the end you had in your hand is where the connector would have been.
    just unplug it

is your side stand switch still on the bike the 3 position connector runs down to that switch

Actually I did some hunting and found 2 relays, the one with the blue mark is the side stand relay I'm assuming, so I can just unplug it then? Also any idea what this other relay might be?

The blue one is the sidestand relay, and you cann just unplug it, but I HIGHLY reccomend that you buy and install a sidestand switch instead of elimnating this safety feature.

The golden one is the Ignition/Neutral safety relay.

Did you rad the link provided by XJ550h?
