i am in the process of tuning my carbs. since i purchased a kerker 4 in to 1 exhaust. dynojet offers a jet kit for $70 dollars which is a lot of money for the jetkit. one thing that that interest me is the kit does come with different needles and a drill bit to modify the slides. according to dyno jet the mod to the slide improves performance. i am guessing by drilling the holes a bit larger the slides react quicker also they recomend the main jets at 124 with the kerker the needles i assume are thinner to give more fuel. has anyone tried this kit on their bike? i hate to drill my slides and ruin them. i cant seem to find any carb mods on the forum that would lead me to believe the mods are helpful. thanks bruce

drilling the slides is the very last thing you want to do. you can not undo the drilling of the hole

if you are just putting on a kirker and not any thing else you should not need the kit.
go to this link at the bottom it tells you how to figure out which size jet need yu need to go to
    http://xjbikes.wikidot.com/carb-specs

for just the exhaust go up 2 sizes and that's it then do a plug reading
after you settle on your main jet size you can think about the pilot jet

put your bike in your signature or tell us what bike you have
it is important that you fully ID your bike in threads you post

    Yes some past members have.
Results have been mixed, mainly because in order to do a proper job you need time, experience, and a dynomometer.
Save your money up until you make engine modifications that require more carb work beyond just swapping out jets.
