Haven't really seen much info on this. Is there a reason for that? Dyna s2000 dkk71(I think) says it's for fj1100 or older 4 cylinder motorcycles comes with a sort of programmable computer...
I got a dyna s ds2-1 for my kz but it has a mechanical advance. Is that why I can't just run a dyna s on the xj?
    Any info would be awesome.
I wanna make the trade cause my ignitor got stupid wet and now the ignition is choppy.

This is a topic that comes up every few years.
Part of why it's not discussed very often is that the original TCI units were built very well, and can be repaired.

Start with that thread. There are others, but that one covers most of what you seek.
Dyna wants a lot of money to make an old motorcycle have sparks.

Repaired you said? Can you elaborate?
Yeah they want 4 or 5 times what a tdi costs (hmmm so tossing the old ones was a bad idea huh?)
Also thank you for always responding to my idiocy. I can't thank you enough for everything yall do on this site. Wouldn't have 400k miles on my frame without the help you have provided.
