Yes, those small bikes are super nimble. Super light which makes them fun.
But living in the city, I always felt I need a bit more power to get me out of situations fast.

When I took the MSF course, there was one Honda Grom 125 in the fleet. I thought about grabbing it, but ended up choosing some weird south American imported Honda instead. That thing gotta be too small to be any fun, right? Wrong! some huge guy grabbed the Grom instead, he looked like a bear on a circus bike, bur he also looked like he was having more fun than anyone there!

Yes. I was talking to a random guy on a grom this weekend. He loved it. A lot. Just like anyone else who rides one. I definitely want one too. And a lot of aftermarket custom parts for them too. And easy to just throw them in the back of your truck.

Thanks for the info on what could go bad, I can still see me picking one of them up some day. I am a torque nut and I hear these bikes have lots. I love how the SV1000 rides but not enough punch and the old Honda 650GT Hawk was also fun but not enough power. So maybe the good old xb12 with the small wheel base and the torque will do the trick.

Put 100 miles on the zx today. Rides super smooth, everything worked flawlessly.
Now it's time for the first oil change. Curious to see how it looks.

Well, I just got an older sister for the ZX today. It's an '87.
Nuch picked it up for me as I was heading on vacation and couldn't be there in person.

    Gonna need a bigger garage.......

I like the paint scheme, it's not green.

What's wrong with Buzz Lightyear? Lol

And yeah, I will have to come up with a plan. Need to finally get that Harley off my table and out of the garage. Takes up space for two regular bikes.

Yeah, I'm at my saturation point right now. It's cool to have 4 bikes all lined up in the stable... at least temporarily...

Needed to make bike complete :)
Just need to replace the aftermarket horn at some point to be 100% original again.
After putting some miles on it I decided to keep her.

Here a pic of her sister bike, 7 years apart...

Needs some massive cleaning. I decided to drop the engine on this one for better access to everything.
Still on vacation and won't see this bike in person for another few days, but I'm excited.
Just need to move a few bikes around to make room to work on this one.
I'm hoping my Abba sky stand will fit.

Another nice grab for you. I see those front forks on that one have some type of anti dive or something on them. That bike looks to be in good enough shape that I hope all things are working correctly for you.

So the other "6" you are keeping, you put a lot of work in that bike and it sure paid off on looks. I hope you enjoy it for the time it stays with you and then finds a good home. Sounds to me like you need a bike shed for a summer project ;)

Paid $600 for this one, came with a box of extra parts that the PO never managed to put on, including a manual.
Hopefully it doesn't need much else, other than cleaning and a tune up.
But it's a 30+ year old bike, there is always something.

I guess the bmw will have to wait now...

That is a good grab for a flip bike. I would guess you would get $1200 for that in the good shape you will put it in. Those were not bad starter bikes either for those getting into the game. I would think that your lift will fit that one as well.

Yeah, as long as it doesn't require many parts it should be a good flip bike. At least it's complete, so fingers crossed.
Definitely will need a new valve cover gasket bc I will need to check clearances.

U are a bad influence on me. I have wanted a little dirt bike for my place so I went to a shop today. He is a good guy and more of a Harley guy but works on anything. I remember seeing a bunch of bikes on the corner so I had to ask. what is up with them? for $800 I came home with a running Yamaha 1980 Exciter I 250, A full Honda CB350 (not running) and a 1980 XT175 not running. He would not sell just one bike had to take a bunch of them. I think I got a good deal, will get some pics up when I get them all home. Could only haul two at a time.
