I saw some people in northren va, any one form richmond or chrlottesville or near by?

 

I'm a couple of hours from Charlottesville, in Leesburg.

whats up jimvonbaden, maybe we could get a ride going. I was spposed to go out west soon but my planes are postponed for a bit, let me know do you do your own work on your bike?

 

As a matter of fact I do extensive work on motorcycles. I am still learning the Yamaha, but am very well versed on BMW.

I ride down past Charlottsville at least once a month. It is about 100 miles from me. So not far at all.

I am thinking maybe getting some area locals together for a Tech Day and share some knowledge.

Hey Jim, I would like to get up with you soon. i am new to motorcycles, found this web site and used it alot and i think that ive got a really good hold on it but i need to refine what i know about it, like the finer points of the carbs. any help you could give would be great. I can even travel up to you if its more conveite if youd like to get together.

 

Give me a couple weeks, I have our local club rally, followed by another the week after, but then I will have some time!

I am really interested in getting to know my turbo better.

Cool, maybe we can set up a Saturday Tech Day sometime? I have done many of them for our local BMW club. They are a great way to get together and wrench and socialize.

Having one tomorrow night for a tire/rim change and 6K service on a couple bikes.

havent heard anyone from va in a while i know that there are people from charlottsville on this site or near by, id like to get together and do some winter carb adjustment and a fall ride togther. i still havent got to ride with anyone yet and ive had my bike for well over a year.

 

Hey Fongdingo Iam here in Warrenton. Would love to try to get a ride in with you this fall. I have a yics tool coming from Len. 82 xj650 maxim 13000 miles

 

sweet id like to be able to start the bike in the winter this year better than it has been. i find that the bike dont like the cold so much, and i havent got to use the tool. oh if your a football fan we do monday night foot ball. the screen is about 7 feet high by 8 feet across makes watching things so much better.

 

Hey I'm in Lynchburg, VA. My xj550 isn't road worthy yet (all in pieces) but its a bit cold for riding right now anyway. Hopefully I will have her ready by the time it warms up, if not I always have the Katana to ride.
