    ...but only to this forum. I recently found an '82 XJ550 nearly identical to my first bike, an '81 that I had from '85-88. My bud RecoveringWorkaholic has been goading me to pick one up ever since he got his 650, and the right one finally came along. She runs, the major bits all look solid, and I'm looking forward to improving her. I'll be digging into the collective knowledge here, for sure. No doubt there is a surprise or two awaiting me as I begin work.

    Current ride is a '15 FJR, and I'm finding many current FJR riders trace back to a Maxim at some point.

    Meanwhile, can someone point me to instructions on posting photos and video? My attempt to post a photo from my FB was denied. TIA
