    Hi,

I cant seem to get my brake pads in place, does anybody know if the Newfren FD0051BT should fit?
Their webpage claim that it fits XJ5 550 1981-84, (weird name?) but I don't know if that includes my bike an European XJ550 4v8 -81.
The place where I ordered them from should know what they sold me, however they have sent me wrong ones before...

The old brake pads where SBS 547 HF, which are 1.1 mm smaller in width, but I cant think that it would make that big of a difference. Because when I press it down the holes just don't align enough.

I tried searching the forum, and some suggestions for other to solve the issue is filing of paint or the edges, how much of this can I do? I mean it is still brakes...
Or is the best thing to just order new ones?

    Appreciate all input!

you have to file the hole a little to make them fit properly line them up with the old pads. even if you order from our supporting vendor this is a needed mod
you can read this in the www.xj4ever.com catalog
