So I just replaced the clutch and put everything back in as it was and when I try to adjust my clutch cable towards the clutch side it just won’t snap back? Am I missing something here literally everything went back inside as it came out on the inside ..

Pic for what I’m talking about

Took this thing apart, re mounted the clutch and bolted back up and still no friction with clutch cable... I just pull it and it stays pulled and gets slack back and forth I haven’t even re adjusted the main adjustment of the cable, left it the same.. could it be my cable is done ? I find it hard to believe since I just unclipped it and that’s it.. someone, anyone pls give some input

Did you have to take off the crank arm to replace the clutch? Is it possible it is in the wrong position.
Some close up pics of the clutch plates and springs might be helpful.

when you pull the clutck the lever does not go back when released? when was the last time you lubed the cable ?

do you have 3 mm play in the lever where it hits perch?

did you loosen cable at perch before installing it back on cover lever?

where there any burrs on clutch basket?

does clutch release and let wheel freespin when in gear when lever is squeezed?

did you aline dot on pressure plate with dot on basket?

did you turn the cover lever fully forward before attaching cable? like photo with thumb .
to the point that lever will not go anymore ? .

    new springs and bolts?
soak clutch in oil before installing?
tightening bolts in criss cross pattern equally until final torque of bolts?
