Mounting seat to frame

    What type of clamps or mounts did you use for aftermarket seats? Same goes for the tank... I bought a bike and it looks looks like the tank and seats are essentially zip tied onto the frame. The tank has the petcock too, i guess.

    1982 XJ650 Maxim. Will post pics later tonight.

    If they are not the correct tank and seat then you will probably have to fabricate some mount points. Might be easier to try and pick up the correct parts on Ebay.

    use the clamps to hold brooms to walls
    [​IMG] this will center seat on frame then add something to lock it down
