Identify forks and calipers

    Hey all new to site! Just started build on 1983 XJ 750 but I’m struggling to identify the front forks and callipers, want to order rebuild kit for both. Forks are 83mm total length and tubes are 34 mm thought they should be 36mm?? Help please

    I also have a cross over pipe at the top of the forks that didn’t show on the diagram from part I’ma ?

    looks to me like maxim forks, go by the vin# on the frame. then contact "chacal" at xj4ever (top right corner of this page) he can fix ya up

    that looks like 83 xj750 maxim forks to me. air valve on top with dial adjuster . the hose is to balance pressure in forks

    remeasure the diameter
