Get a long, thin piece of rag, and a piece of wire.
Tie the rag to the wire and feed it through the YICS tunnel.
Get a long, thin screwdriver and poke the rag into the tunnel from both sides, until you can poke no more.
    Replace the caps.
    Set carbs.
Don't forget to remove the rag.
    It works.
Later, I bought a YICS tool, and it works, too.

If you use the rag technique soak the rag in oil to keep the rag from burning. I have tuned my bike with and without the blocking tool with good results.

the Idea of breaking free 2 bolts that may not have been removed in countless years scares me. crack the head or not use the tool?
there are a few photos in this site of broken head from trying to remove that bolt.

I don't use a YICS tool when I synch my carbs. I suppose if I wanted to squeeze every last drop of performance out of my bike, I might use it.
