    They cost no more than the Hitachis did when they were new. Good value, from a certain point of view.

    Wouldn't you still need an airbox? Or Pods?

    The stock OEM CV carbs throttle slides are controlled by air pressure, via the butterflys and vacuum chamber.
    Start modifying things and you change the air pressures, now you've lost control of the slides.

    With the racing type carb your slides are connected right to your wrist.

    I suspect the factory air box servers 3 purposes;
    1. actually provides a restriction to the inlet which results in a bigger delta of air pressures between the inlet and the vacuum chamber, acting like a power assist for your throttle slides. Eliminating the air box alters these pressures and weakens or screws up the signal between wrist and slide.
    2. Noise reduction
    3. Captures any spit back of fuel/air which is then burned on the next combustion cycle. You don't smell like a biker when you show up at work in a 3-piece.

    The CV carb is chosen for the street because when set up properly it provides a constant fuel/air ratio which is better for emissions.
    When you yank open the racing type carb there may be a surge in un-burned fuel until the rpm's catch up.

    1245$ and they still want 30$ shipping.
    looks like they have adapters for the engine side to make them fit a few sizes, how far does that move the carb rack back from the engine?
    the distance from the throat to the top looks farther than oem carbs, would they fit, being farther back
    come on now, for that kind of money i want more than one picture
