    hi,

does someone know the dimensions of the o-ring for the starter? (the one that sticks to the block).

its a bit tricky to measure it without having the actual o-ring (i lost mine during the rebuild).

    thanks

Is there a list of the sizes of all the engine o rings available? They will be Butyl nitrate l assume?

there's no pressure on it. i don't see why rtv form-a-gasket won't work. just try not to let it get inside the motor.
the ones between the head/cylinders for the yics looked like silicone to me

Not sure Polock I was wondering if there were a list of sizes as I can get ones that are suitable.

Measure it with a set of calipers and see what size it is.

On one of my engines the drive chain broke and snapped off the starter motor braking the block where the starter nose fits into. After being welded back together an o ring would not seal. I used form a gasket rtv on the shoulder of the starter. It does make it harder to remove the starter but it works.
