Lube or NO Lube?

    Hey guys, decided to change out my front and rear sprockets, while changing the chain on my 83 maxim 400. Do I need to lube up the front sprocket before I put it on, and if so, what would be the best to get?

    If it was me I wouldn't bother... I would consider lubing the chain with chain oil though :)

    Sprockets don't actually move against anything except the chain so there isn't really a need to lube them seperately when a little chain oil will do it anyway :)
