Hey XJ friends, I'm putting the 32mm XJ650 Hitachi carbs on my CB750A (Hondamatic) and my Matic has both a pull and push throttle cable.

It looks like the XJ/Maxim/Seca 650's only have a pull throttle cable (one throttle cable rather than two). Can anyone please confirm this for me?

I'm gonna have to modify my current pull cable... before I do that I want to make sure.
    Thanks friends!

Yes, it is confirmed. The XJ's have only a pull cable, no push. Good luck with your project. Pictures? Just because we are curious, aka: nosy.

Thanks John, here's a couple pics of the Hitachi carbs with the CB750k boots... I'll drop some more pics once I have something better to show. :)
Currently I've rebuilt the Hitachi carbs, they were Canadian so came with #43 pilot jets (rather than #40 like our US versions) and added #116 main jets (OEM in US is #110 and CAN is #112) as I have to run pod filters (although I'd really love to figure out how to make a CB750K work... there is no way to use the 750A airbox but I think the 750K is slightly different).
The CB750K ('69-'76) manifold intake boots will work and mate up with the Hondamatic head and the XJ650 Hitachi carbs. Here's a pic of the carbs with the CB750K boots on it... that's about all I have right now... figuring out correct length to make my throttle pull cable as I'll need to cut and re-solder my CB750A throttle pull.

Very Cool. Should be a fun deal, both the doing and when done.

Should be easy to measure for the actuator but how much roll is there in the Honda grip?
