    XJ550H. Yea, after i get the tank cleaned, I am gonna get some fuel line and filter. That way i can see a little bit what is happening in the lines.

    That’s what I have been doing. Hopefully, once i get it all ironed out, I won’t need to lol.

    FYI valve clearances COULD be an issue, usually too tight means hard starting when cold.....when hot, it's a little easier ......although yes, the XJ's in general have a 'borderline' electrical system ( power wise) throw in 39 years old wiring and components....other than the ones you CAN change ( plugs)......

    I'm a somewhat infrequent rider, these days, plus having two XJ's means one is always kinda dormant......even on a tender, I sometimes have to 'boost' start, for that first run.....after a couple a days riding, she tends to start easier ( both!!)
