Already hogfiddles I read about the last one, wish I could go to the CNYCC. Time passes to quickly.

 

I'm thinking about what'd be needed to get there from the land of sky-blue waters.

 

A Boeing 747 for me.

A sleeping bag and gas card. I think Dave has a place to pitch a tent on his yard. If he doesn't I do and my place is about 45 scenic minutes away!

Yep- plenty of room to throw down a tent, or blanket....

one year a guy brought just a tarp. He staked the tarp out, then slid under it— lol

I can’t “rough it” like that... but I’ll be there with 2 XJs in tow!

 

Well, this whole coronavirus thing may put a kink in things...... but it’s still 3 months away.

that said, I’m going to continue planning at this point, but we shall have wait and see how things progress. At worst, I try to come up with a way to “video link” with whoever I can and we do a virtual CC..... hey, a CVVCNYCC? (CoronaVirus Virtual Central NY Carb Clinic). I totally don’t want to even think we have to go that route, but we take it a day at a time this time around, I guess.

I wish Hogfiddles would do a virtual Carb clinic. Hint hint lol.

 

The problem is that you'll need an extra wide screen to get it all in!

The weather was impeccable last year...

 

Screen is cheaper than a 747 flight lol. Seriously though it would be very interesting.

 

If you have two screens, sit back and cross your eyes..... see it in 3D

 

It’s 6 1/2 feet away........haven’t cancelled it yet——- fingers crossed

 

I think we could maintain the social distance rule as long as there no hand shakes... or at this point, hugs!

Well, as central NY is opening up a little, it looks like a condensed versions of CNYCC will happen at this point.

Good news it that there should still be a CNYCC#13.....
Bad news is I think I’m going to be limited to 10 people.
Good news is that pretty much everyone who had planned on coming should still be able to come
Bad news is that I don’t know if I’ll be able to have more this time
Good news is hopefully Nuch will have his camera and take lots of pics

I’m gonna hafta fast-track my planning and set-up.......will have to have tents farther apart, masks, gloves, etc.............GEEEZ

No, I haven't. I have been missing from the motorcycle scene for 30 years and now am back since my son donated a bike to me last fall.

for those that at this point are planning to attend, or those who tentatively plan to attend, can you send me a text, or pm, or call....let me know what you hope to get done. That way I can start to streamline things. I gotta start getting things finalized.

please plan on bringing as many tools that you think you’ll need, too, just to keep less contact....tents will be farther apart, but we have the room.

I won't be making it up this year, no one to watch kids and Jeep needs a lot of work. But I'll be there in spirit! Maybe I'll try to do a video call with @TheCrazyGnat so I can say hello! Hope everyone has a safe ride!

I really thought about riding there on the big bike, but kids came to town and don't think I can get away this year.

Well I finally reserved a trailer at my local Uhaul. Now to get some odds and ends done on the 192K mile Escape tow vehicle. I know it's not an XJ, but I was thinking on bringing this now that I have around 50 shake down miles on it:

I expect to stop in for a visit. I don't think there is anything I need to work on, just come see folks and bikes. Maybe I will bring some of the extra XJ bits and pieces that are lying around.

Saftie and Carmine might get their wish......the tractor is running.......I pulled the carburetor off and cleaned it out this morning, so I pulled the tractor out in front—it won’t be buried behind stuff this year

Big work canopy is up, food canopy is up about 20 ft away......tomorrow I’ll start getting tools and stuff lined up.

NAPA has donated 2 cans of Seafoam for a couple door prizes, XJ4Ever is sending a surprise new product that will be installed on someone’s bike, and there is one other special door prize for everyone but I’m not gonna tell you what it is........(I know something you don’t know.......neener, neener, neeee-nerrrr) Oops, the elementary kid in me just appeared——Sorry.

oh, yeah........gotta get the hand sanitizer bottles out, too——-dfox

 

Pre trip trailer check done. Hubs greased and wiring repaired for the run. Weather permitting, going to make a weekend out of it!
