    Hey guyz!! Heres the deal.
All of a sudden , nn w/o prewarning( That I could detect) my gear lever just just became " loosened" ( forgive my absence of the technical term).
My 81',xj750 seca, currently shifts from 1st to second gears, but that's it!! The shifter literally goes all the way up to the top before it clicks into 2nd gear!
Nothing but " slake" in between.
Clutch seems to operate the same. I didn't strip any gears that I could tell. Again, she was shifting great , let's say, 15 mins from on stop to the next.
What happen guys?? Thx in advance. Screenshot_20200429-111646_Adobe Acrobat.jpg

Yes. From the foot lever, follow back to where it enters the transmission case

I couldn't find the right picture, but they are all kinda similar

Make sure the bolt labeled 13 in this pic is there and tight

Hay raskal!! I cant seem 2 post a video of the gear..I checked the screw. Everything in tact there. The ENTIRE lever moves up and down, from top to bottom, w/o the clutch deployed. Has to be something internal.
