    Hey guys,
New here, and I've really been able to find some good answers to my questions. I've got an 80 xj650 with 5k miles on it that I've been rebuilding. I keep seeing something about a mixture adjustment screw on the carbs and I haven't been able to find it. I've taken these carbs on and off so many times trying to adjust them and I was hoping there was a way to do it from the outside. I understand that's just a part of these bikes tho .

So basically, is there a way to adjust my carbs from the outside? Or was that not on the 1980 version?

    Thanks

you will need to drill a small hole in cap do not go deep cap is not to thick then thread a sheetrock screw into hole and pull it out

Oh wow. Yeah I saw that circle, but never thought you'd have to drill into it. Thanks!

Well if the brass plugs are still in, at least you know they are unmolested and won’t be seized
