I might be acquiring an '80 Suzuki 750.(Either GSX or GS, not sure). It is in good shape. Runs, recently tuned, new tires, etc. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with these bikes. How they hold up, potential pitfalls, parts availability, etc. I'm not giving up on my Maxim, I've just got a bug and have a hard time saying no to another bike!

I owned an 850 years ago and loved it. The engines on those Suzukis are pretty much bullet proof. They are actually less complicated than our Yamahas when it comes to tearing into them. I never had any issues with mine, so I guess I can't answer you on what to look out for as far as maintenance goes.
I would suggest just getting a Haynes or Clymer manual for it if you plan to keep it and you will be able to keep it going for a long time.

I meant to post this over in the Non-XJ section. Thanks for the info.

I have an '81 GS750E. It's the same as the '80. I acquired it in nonrunning shape and have restored it back to its former glory.

If you have any specific questions, pm me.
